SLIP-FIT OPTION
The slip-fit configuration provides reduced weight and lower overall cost compared to the V-band configuration.

Aside from weight and cost, there are no significant performance advantages or disadvantages between the slip-fit and V-band configurations.


INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Installation requires removal or relocation of the windshield washer fluid reservoir and cutting an exit opening in the front bumper.

Additional modification may be required depending on vehicle trim level and existing aftermarket components.

Potential interference areas may include:
- Fog lights
- Wheel well liners
- Windshield washer fluid reservoir
- Aftermarket piping
- Other components occupying the Side Exit routing area


TUNING WARNING
Installation of a Side Exit Exhaust without proper tuning, retuning, or tuner consultation may result in vehicle damage.

Some tuners may recommend checking for overboost before determining whether additional tuning is required.

Tuning methods vary. Always consult your tuner before operating the vehicle after installation.

Q/Does this fit STI models?
A/ No.

Q/This product is designed for the 2015–2021 WRX only. Does it fit both manual and CVT WRXs?
A/ Yes.

Q/Will it bolt directly to the factory turbo?
A/ Yes.

Q/Do I need a tune after installing the Side Exit?
A/ Most likely. Always contact your tuner for guidance before installation and operation.

Q/Can the Side Exit cause overboost or boost creep?
A/ It can depend on climate, supporting modifications, and the individual setup. Follow up with your tuner for guidance.

Q/How loud is it?
A/ It is roughly comparable to a straight-pipe setup, but without noticeable cabin drone when the windows are closed.

Q/Does it shoot flames?
A/ Hell yes.

Q/Do I need a heat plate?
A/ It is not required, but it gives the bumper opening a more finished appearance and helps with heat dissipation, especially during long or hard driving.

Q/Will it work with aftermarket fog lights or other engine-bay modifications?
A/ Most aftermarket fog lights and intercooler piping will work. Wheel well liners will not. Most other engine-bay modifications are compatible, but fitment can vary.

Q/How much bumper trimming is required?
A/ Generally, around a 4-inch opening is required, allowing roughly 1/2 inch of clearance around the exhaust tip.

Q/Can I keep the factory washer reservoir?
A/ No. The OEM reservoir must be removed. Aftermarket replacement reservoirs can be installed in another location.

Q/Can I reuse the factory gasket and hardware?
A/ Use your best judgment when removing the previous exhaust. Keeping a replacement gasket available is recommended.

Q/Will it scrape on a very low or bagged car?
A/ You are far more likely to damage something else underneath the car before the Side Exit itself contacts the ground.

Q/Can I drive in heavy rain?
A/ Yes. Normal rainwater should not cause damage.

Q/What about washing the car?
A/ Avoid spraying water directly into the exhaust outlet. A small accidental amount of water should not cause an issue, but deliberate direct spraying should be avoided.
